Sarah: Hey Shawna, glad to hear things are looking up. Yea, sometimes men need a reality check. Can't say a trip out of town isn't nice anyhow?

Shawna: Hey, I just got back from 2 weeks at my moms in CA, she came and got me because the tension was too thick in this house. Things are much more calm now so far, and Mike seems to want to be more active in helping with Sean. I guess not being able to see him all the time did the trick, he also seems to understand that when you have a sick baby that wants to nurse constantly, some chores are left undone. Anyway, I love you and will call soon.

Shawna: Hey finally got the pics in, but I should also have lots more in the next couple days, I'm picking some up today from our trip to cleveland, I tell about it in my blog, love ya girlie.

Shawna: I just looked at the new pics and I have to say, motherhood is a part of you, it's who you were meant to be, there is a peace and happiness that shines through your eyes when your with Collin, a joy I didnt see before. Congratulations mommy.

Shawna: Sorry I havent gotten a hold of you but Sean has been cholicy lately, I fully agree with you on being an adult. If things dont smooth out here soon I'm going to lose it, I mean if Cholic werent bad enough Mike and Cici are hating each other lately so I get to listen to them complain all day as well as Sean every 20 minutes

Shawna: Ok, call me blonde, but I didnt even realize till today that Collin is exactly 11 months older than Sean to the day. I wonder if theres something about the number 26, not to mention you went into labor at 9:30 pm, and Sean was born at 9:30 am. Oh Seans little bumm is all cleared up, turns out I think he's allergic t the hypallergenic wipes I was using, because the a&d didnt clear his bumm while I was using the wipes but now I just use a warm washclth to clean him and it cleared. Shawna: Thanks for telling me about the A&D ointment, it's really calmed down Seans rash, he's able to sleep comfortably and it doesnt hurt him as bad to poop and fart, lol, the things we discuss as mothers. Sarah: How funny! He had a sign that said he's been doing it for like 20 years.

Carmen: My pal, Mike &I saw the same guy in '93. We were in a music club across the street and laughed & laughed as he jumped out at unsuspecting tourists. I had no idea that he was a regular feature of the wharf.

Shawna: That did the trick Sarah thanks, no more fatty feet. Well everyone at Mikeys work thinks I'm going to have the baby any day now so I'll keep you posted, I go see Margie today, hopefully she'll tell me I'm making progress

. hopefully we can get together for one of those nursing parties after he arrives as I'm not getting out much anymore and I'd love to see you and Collin again, take care sweety.

Shawna: Thank you I'll try that. Let me just say that picture is so beautiful, I dont think I've ever seen so much serenity in your face, and Collin, he looks so sweet, and most importantly happy, keep up the great work.

Sarah: Yes! My ankles swelled up terribly. Try to eliminate as much salt and caffeine as you can and drink lots of water. Other than that just keep your feet elevated.

Shawna: hey Sarah, did your feet and ankles swell at the end, I've gone beyond cankles, and my mom thinks I should ask Margie if I might be retaining water, but they go down when I'm sleeping, what do you think?

Shawna: Thanks for having me over hon, it was so nice to get out, and watch you with Collin, not to mention a learning experience as I'm getting so nervous about how a boy. About the sleep habbit's, do what YOU feel is right, you cant spoil him at this age, and you know him better than any1 else, tend to him as long as you can, they grow up way to fast.

Missie: Just read Carmen's comment. Sounds like some great advice! You should take her up on that baby sitting offer!

Missie: Every baby is different. Ryan still gets up between 1 & 4 times a night for some milk. I'm able to give him a bottle and he's fine. I thought he would be sleeping through the night by now, but he isn't. Follow your instincts, they are only little once. You are a great mom and will do what is best for that little one. Well, Ryan is destroying the office so I better get going. Love Ya!

Growing Up

Mood:

So, everyone has been doing pretty good. I am currently sick, but it's not too bad. Just some cough and a fever. Luckily no one else has gotten sick. I'm a little bummed to be sick because I have a few pregnant women I could be seeing right now. I recently started advertising myself as free birth support and I've received some feedback from it. Margie (midwife) comes back into town in January, and she said I could sit in on some prenatals as well. Very excited about that.

Collin is doing great. He amazes us all the time. He loves getting involved in everything and doing it himself. He's quite the little chef and enjoys cracking eggs and watches us cook while standing on a chair. He's also in love with my iPod. As you see in this picture, he's discovered how the earphones work and loves listening to music. He's also started to try jumping, which is quite comical.

Everyone else is doing great. Mike's job is still doing really well, and Sara's monthly rent has really been helping us out. I just updated out Photobucket account so make sure to check out all of Collin's photos. There wasn't anything uploaded past 15 months so there's a lot to look at. Well I hope everyone is having a good week!
